Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ArrivoAU (arrivoau.com) is an informational website for immigrants in Australia. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are, in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Brazil's LGPD.

2. Anonymous analytics — automatically collected data

When you browse ArrivoAU, we record usage data in a fully anonymous and aggregated way. We do not use cookies, localStorage, or any persistent identifier. What we collect per page visit: • Page accessed and previous page (to understand navigation flow) • Approximate city — derived from the network header provided by Vercel infrastructure (not GPS); discarded immediately after recording • Device type (desktop, iOS or Android) — derived from User-Agent; discarded immediately after recording • Whether it was the entry page of the visit What we do NOT collect: IP address, full User-Agent, cookies, session identifiers, or any data that would allow identifying a visitor individually. Records are numeric counters per attribute combination (e.g. "page /diagnostico, city Sydney, device iOS: 42 visits this week"). It is not possible to track a specific user from this data.

3. Diagnostic tool

When you use the Australia readiness diagnostic tool, your answers are processed in two ways depending on your choice: Path 1 — Always active, no consent required: Your answers are added to anonymous aggregate counters per question (e.g. "question 3, option B: 87 responses this week"). No individual data is stored — only the total count. Path 2 — Only with your explicit consent: If you choose to help improve the diagnostic, the complete sequence of your answers is stored for up to 6 months, linked to a random unique identifier (UUID) generated at the time of submission. This UUID is not associated with any personal data (no IP, no email, no name). After 6 months, the data is automatically deleted. To request early deletion of your data, contact us at privacy@arrivoau.com.

4. Contact form

When you submit a message via the contact form, we collect: name, email address, subject type, and message. This data is forwarded by email to the site administrator via Resend and is not stored in any database. We use this information solely to respond to your message.

5. Healthcare professional directory

ArrivoAU maintains a directory of Brazilian doctors and healthcare professionals in Australia using publicly available information: name, specialty, suburb, city, phone, and clinic link. This data is in the public domain (AHPRA register, clinic websites) and is displayed in the interest of the Brazilian community in Australia. Any professional may request removal or correction of their data at any time by emailing privacy@arrivoau.com. We respond within 15 business days.

6. Article comments

When you post a comment on an article, we collect the name you choose and the comment text. The name is displayed publicly alongside the comment. We do not collect email or any identifying data beyond the name provided. To request removal of a comment, contact us at contato@arrivoau.com.

7. Data sharing

ArrivoAU does not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. We use the following service providers to operate the site: • Supabase — database for aggregate analytics and consented diagnostic data • Resend — transactional email delivery (contact form, doctor notifications) • Vercel — website hosting and city resolution by IP (processed in infrastructure, not stored by us) • GitHub — storage for the doctor directory data These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and under appropriate data processing agreements.

8. Cookies and tracking

ArrivoAU does not use cookies for analytics or advertising tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking service. The site may use strictly necessary technical cookies for operation (e.g. language preference managed by the Next.js framework).

9. Data retention

• Aggregate analytics: stored indefinitely — these are numeric counters only, with no personal data. • Consented diagnostic responses: automatically deleted after 6 months. • Doctor data (Tier 2): retained until the professional requests removal. • Contact messages: not stored in any database — kept only in the administrator's email. • Comments: retained indefinitely unless removal is requested.

10. Your rights

In accordance with the Australian Privacy Act, GDPR, and LGPD, you have the right to: • Know what personal data we hold about you • Request access, correction or deletion of your data • Withdraw consent at any time (for consented diagnostic data) • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@arrivoau.com. We respond within 15 business days.
